Choose the Right OS for YOU

Microsoft Windows Vista (all flavors): Vista offers a clean interface and user friendly options for the "PC Novice". There is a slight learning curve if you are migrating from an older OS like XP or Me, but after you get use to it there is generally no problem. PC gurus, however, will find that it might be more difficult to get the tweaks that they like working.
Gamers Beware!

Mac OSX: This is a great OS for Graphics design and programming. Based on a Linux like platform, this OS is easy to operate and very good on resources. The perfect OS for business, families, and students that just want it to work out-of-the-box. The "old" Macs used ultra stable parts and different processors than their PC cousins, the new ones use the same parts as traditional PC vendors.. big disapointment to those who wanted to get away from Microsoft and the PC.

Linux (most Distributions): If you want to relieve yourself of "paid" software, and don't want to break any laws in the process, then Linux migt be for you. It is fast, stable (mostly), and FREE (my favorite price). There is a learning curve associated with learning the Linux Operating System, but it may be well worth the effort. I suggest getting a book on the matter (the good ones come with installation CDs so you can try it), it's always good to know your options. Note: most PC games and some Console Games can be played on Linux..
